Overview:

This session is the second meeting in the online funding course “EU funding for cybersecurity actors”. This meeting focuses on strategic tools for capacity building using Danish national funding and EU cascade funding as foundational steps. Participants will learn how these resources provide a manageable entry into the EU funding landscape, preparing them for larger projects. 

Target group:  Danish cybersecurity companies, knowledge institutions, and other stakeholders interested in a strategic approach to EU funding.

1. Welcome and introduction (5 min)
   Brief introduction to the session’s goals, emphasizing the value of EU funding and the role of this series. 

1. EU funding overview and capacity building with Danish and EU cascade programs (20 min)
   Explanation of how Danish funding programs and EU cascade funding serve as stepping stones, allowing SMEs to build project management skills and experience for larger applications. 

1. Case study: a successful EU funding journey (25 min)
   An SME case study demonstrating the transition from national and cascade funding to a larger EU funding project, covering strategic decisions and capacity-building steps. 

1. Q&A and closing remarks (10 min)
   Interactive Q&A on leveraging national and cascade funding for EU applications.
